I spent 12 years in the US Navy on submarines as a Reactor Operator in the nuclear field and as a US Navy Diver. I spent three years on an operational LA Class fast attack submarine, then went to Knolls Atomic Power Laboratories to teach Reactor Plant Operations for four years. I ended my time in the Navy as a member of the new construction crew of another LA class submarine being built at Newport News Naval Shipyard. As a diver, I completed operations all over the world, including the Arctic Circle, the Bermuda Triangle, Andros Island in the Bahamas, St Croix in the Virgin Islands, Holy Loch Scotland, Bergen Norway, Toulon France, La Madelena Sardinia, Naples Italy, Puerto Rico, and every major port up and down the East Coast.
